“From the beginning, we saw something bigger for this land,” says Rev. Melissa St. Clair, Heart of the Rockies Christian Church senior minister. “It wouldn’t just be land that we use to serve and meet the needs of our own congregation… it would be used to support and sustain our community.”
30 years after the Central Rocky Mountain region bought 11 acres for this Fort Collins, CO place of worship, Heart of the Rockies is partnering with faith-based organizations like Disciples Church Extension Fund to transform its property into a multi-million dollar project called Heartside Hill, a proposed development that will provide affordable housing and childcare to low-income families and seniors, as well as adults with disabilities.
